H&M believes strongly in the Florida market and is excited to now offer local Miami Beach consumers access to the brand’s fashion-forward, quality collections for ladies and men. The new 22,000 square- foot H&M Miami location opening on Lincoln Road will feature two floors of selling space and will be a welcome addition to the Florida retail landscape, which currently includes H&M store locations in Orlando and West Palm Beach.
This unique H&M store location will capture the history of the vibrant city of Miami Beach as it will be located in the elegant art deco Lincoln Theatre, a building that was formerly a concert hall for the New World Symphony Orchestra. The building, originally designed in 1936 by famed theater architect Thomas W. Lamb, has been home to countless concerts over its lifetime and is an architectural jewel that displays a graceful façade with sleek, curving shapes. The New World Symphony has been housed in this building since 1988, but has recently relocated to the world renowned new Frank Gehry-designed concert hall directly behind the Lincoln Theatre, paving the way for H&M to move into the space. In an effort to maintain one of Miami’s treasured historical buildings, H&M has worked with the landlord Savitar Realty Advisors and the Miami Beach Historic Preservation Society to protect the iconic nature of the space while adding the H&M feeling of fashion and fun.
The U.S. has been one of H&M’s most important markets since opening its first store on New York’s Fifth Avenue more than ten years ago. Now offering U.S. consumers access to quality fashions at the best prices through more than 210 locations across the country, H&M is excited to add the dynamic city of Miami to its roster. Internationally, H&M has more than 2,200 stores in 38 markets around the world.
