Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha was carted off the field after suffering a left knee injury in practice Thursday, according to the team’s official website.
The team listed Asomugha as a limited participant, but did not elaborate further on the severity of the injury.
The Eagles are already limited in the secondary for Sunday’s game against Tom Brady and the visiting New England Patriots. Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie did not practice Thurday due to a high-ankle sprain and is unlikely to play.
Read full story after the jumpEagles cornerback Joselio Hanson told the Philadelphia Inquirer that he was told Asomugha’s injury wasn’t serious.
“It looked bad, but they said he was going to be alright, expecting to come back tomorrow and practice,” Hanson told the paper.
Meanwhile, quarterback Michael Vick told the team’s website that he’s feeling “good” despite sitting out practice again. Vick, who is recovering from broken ribs, said he is “getting better.”
According to the team’s website, Vince Young took all of the first-team reps in practice. Young started for Vick last week and led the Eagles to a win over the New York Giants.
Receiver Jeremy Maclin also did not practice as he deals with hamstring and shoulder injures. Fellow wideout DeSean Jackson (foot) was listed as a limited participant.
