The killing of unarmed teenager, Trayvon Martin, and subsequent acquittal of George Zimmerman, the man who shot him to death has angered and saddened an entire nation.
It’s great to see something, anything, good come out of this double tragedy and that may be the case as both Trayvon’s friend, Rachel Jeantel, and brother, Jahvaris Fulton, may end up working in law enforcement.
Jahvaris, the older brother of Trayvon Martin, is currently serving as a congressional intern for Florida Representative Frederica Wilson, her office confirms to NBC.

Frederica Wilson’s office revealed that Fulton is a participant in the 5000 Roll Models of Excellence Project, which is a drop out prevention and mentoring program that serves the needs of at-risk boys in Miami-Dade schools.
It warms my heart to see Jahvaris serving to make a difference in the community and perhaps, working to bring much-needed change to the justice system that failed his little brother.
