50 Cent surprised concertgoers in Austin, Texas on Friday (March 16), when he brought out Eminem for a performance of “Patiently Waiting” off his 2003 debut, Get Rich Or Die Tryin’.
As previously reported, Fif’ was the headliner of the Shady 2.0 SXSW Showcase in Austin, Texas on Friday, where he performed Get Rich or Die Tryin’ in its entirety. Eminem’s appearance, however, was a complete surprise.
Check the performance after the jump50 started off his set with the LP’s intro track “What Up Gangsta”, and immediately followed with “Patiently Waiting” (see above). After he rapped the track’s first verse and its hook, Eminem popped up from behind the stage to give fans’ his memorable verse.
The G-Unit General then went on to perform for nearly a full hour, rocking album cuts such as “Many Men,” “In Da Club,” “Heat,” “Back Down,” and “If I Can’t,” among others. Eminem later returned for a medley of some of his catalog’s biggest hits, including “Til I Collapse,” “8 Mile,” and “Crack A Bottle.”
