To say that Justin Timberlake‘s first televised live performance in five years at the Grammy Awards was highly anticipated is probably a pretty big understatement.
Timberlake lived up to the moment, though, delivering two songs from his upcoming album “The 20/20 Experience” with style. He started with lead single “Suit and Tie,” which CBS decided to deliver to the Grammy audience in sepia tones, possibly befitting the throwback vibe of the tune. Timberlake threw a few solid dance moves in before being joined on stage by Jay-Z, who also appears on the recorded version.

The screen then went to color, and Timberlake moved into “Pusher Love Girl,” a mid-tempo jam that describes a relationship like an addiction. He deployed his falsetto — still strong — and brought the crowd at the Staples Center in Los Angeles to its feet.
As a couple of ads that aired right after Timberlake’s performance reminded us, “The 20/20 Experience” is due for release on March 19.
