With Samsung Galaxy users and DJ’s around the country listening to Jay-Z’s new Magna Carta Holy Grail album, Timbaland hits Diddy’s Revolt TV to talk about his involvement on the latest LP from Hov and his desire to produce Kanye West’s next project.
In the clip, he explains how the two got back into the studio, admitting they actually had a falling before coming together for the project.
“Me and Jay fell out,” Timbo says, explaining the pair had an issue over “petty” and personal things, unrelated to the industry. He did, however, admit he was wrong. So, after doing several beats for Beyonce, he played Jay one beat that he loved… and that’s how things got rolling.

“We didn’t plan it, it just happened. The energy was so great. It was two friends reuniting,” he says.
On Magna Carta, Timbaland handles the majority of the production, while Pharrell, Boi-1da, The-Dream, Mike WiLL Made It, and Travi$ Scott also made contributions.
The result is “the best Jay-Z album thus far,” according to Timbo. “I told [Jay-Z], all The Blueprint albums, those were good, but this is your first big album for the new millennium.”
Later in the interview, he talks about wanting to work with Kanye West, loving Yeezus, being addicted to pills, and more.
